We may modify this Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the Services will signify your acceptance of this Policy. For a prior version of this Policy, click here.
What are cookies and why do we use them?
A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. Cookies allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remember your preferences, and generally improve your browsing experience. Some cookies will only be used if you use certain features or select certain preferences, and some cookies will always be used.
Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called third-party cookies. Third-party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the Services (e.g. advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer or other devices both when you visit the Catalant Platform and also when you visit certain other websites.
What are other tracking technologies used?
Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track users. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when you have visited the Catalant Platform or opened an e-mail that we have sent you. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within the Catalant Platform to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the Catalant Platform from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, and to improve performance of the Services. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
What types of cookies do we use and how do we use them?
Essential Cookies. These cookies are required for the operation of the Catalant Platform. For example, cookies are necessary when you log in to the Catalant Platform.
Analytical/Performance Cookies. These cookies allow us to recognize and count the number of users and to see how users move around the Catalant Platform when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way the Services works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
Functionality/Preference Cookies. These cookies recognize you when you return to the Catalant Platform. This enables us to personalize our content for you and remember your preferences.
Targeting/Advertising Cookies. These cookies record your visit to the Catalant Platform, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to build profiles of your interests for targeted marketing. We use retargeting vendors to advertise in ways that are relevant and personalized to you. You allow us to use any information you have provided to us to serve a relevant ad to you. If you consented to receiving Catalant marketing materials in connection with the submission of a form on the Catalant Platform, we may use that information for personalization and retargeting. To opt out of this personalized experience, you can update your cookie settings in your browser settings as described below.
Cookies may be either persistent cookies or session cookies. A persistent cookie consists of a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
Below is our current first and third-party cookie list. You acknowledge that this information may contain inaccuracies or errors and is subject to change without notice. We expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
